Menuhin School Appeal performance with Tasmin Little & Friends

A capacity Menuhin Hall audience witnessed an evening of outstanding music-making as the audience was treated to the first of the Menuhin School’s special 50th Anniversary Alumni Concert Series, featuring Tasmin Little & Friends on 10th September 2013.

These photographs are taken from the concert and during rehearsals.

On this occasion, violinist Tasmin (1973-83) was joined by Susie Meszaros, viola (1970-8), Paul Watkins, cello (1983-8) – fresh from the Proms, Tim Gibbs, double bass (1991-7) and Melvyn Tann, piano (1969-75).  Their obvious joy in playing together, and the very special rapport that exists between our alumni, was a joy to behold – and to hear, not least in their effervescent performance of Schubert’s Trout Quintet which formed the second half of the concert.
